Allow Spectacular
Allow the spectacular to infuse your senses. Stop and smell the sunflowers. Take advice from a friend. Pray for your friends. Walk the dog(s). Stop and take a breath, because though life isn’t easy finding little joy breaks is.
Colorful Sprinkles
Sprinkles are just happiness added on top. The can cover a mistake in the frosting or enhance the flavor of the banana split. They are colorful and fun. We can be the sprinkle to someone’s day. When we chose joy, we can spread it like sprinkles.
Expectations
I expected to write and have everyone read what I wrote. I expected for things in my life to just work out. If these expectations don’t line up with what God has planned for my life, they will not happen.
Little bits of Joy
I love when little bits of joy are sprinkled into my life. I love it more when they seem to be spontaneous even if they have been planned. A smile from a child, fresh baked brownies, a good talk with family. All are little bits of joy.
Finding the Joy Breaks
Finding the Joy Breaks sounds hard at times especially when life seems out of control and always busy. It’s at these times when even a sunset seen on the way home can be joyful. Don’t forget that joy doesn’t have to be just in the big things.
Joy Comes
Joy Comes even when you feel like you have lost it. The world, life, family, work, negative words can all steal joy, but only for a little bit. Joy comes in the moments, in the self worth, in the knowledge of who you are in Christ
Rae's New Shine Childrens Book
One day Rae woke up and felt different. When she looked at the people around her they seemed to “shine brighter” than she did. When she finally prayed about it and asked her mom for help, she realized she didn’t know her own worth. She didn’t believe in herself and felt dim compared to others. Once she started to see she was talented and worthy her shine came back.
