Once upon a time life was simpler but not easier. We had less of the world and more time to ourselves. As kids the most important thing to do was to not get caught being bored. What a joy today to chose a simpler path, unplug and find what’s important.
Spring joys help us get through the dry seasons, the cold spells. They are the things you think of that bring a smile to your face. They are what makes your heart skip a beat. Spring joys are what you hold to, to help give you strength when needed
What is important to you? Do you make yourself available to those around you, to the items in your life you deem worthy of your time? The amount of time you are busy doesn’t dictate the right use of your time. Think about that.
Teenagers, they are like cats. One wrong move and they either run and hide for the rest of the day or take your head off, and you never really know which way it will go. If they are comfortable with you, you will eventually find out.
A whole new world of adventures, of sorrows, of times when your faith will be tested. By embracing what will come you will be tested and growth will come. This growth will bring strength, it will test, but it will be worth it.
What is your perspective? Are you a snow angel maker first, then shovel, or the other way around? I am the first to not like being cold, so I think I will snuggle in and enjoy a book, while watching the snow fall.
Sometimes the pain is worth it, especially when you are getting stronger because of it. A year ago I was a completely different person, I have grown, I have become a better version of myself. There was pain but there was more gain
I make my bed every morning, not because I actually want to, I do it because it is a job that is accomplished and in a small way gives me a sense of purpose. I know that if I have a bad day that at least one thing got done. It helps
When your priorities are right, even the most mundane activity will get done. Admitting to yourself that the things/activities you do matter will help make doing what you are doing (even when hard) bearable. Find the joy in each moment you are in.
