Hope for the Simple

Hope for the Simple, but go into the world knowing that you can make a difference. Simple comes when you look for it, it can’t be forced. Jesus is simple.

Highlighting the Good

Highlighting the Good. Why do went gravitate towards the negative, the bad, the gossip-worthy? When we focus on the good and find the peace and joy within us, people will notice and start asking, that is when we share the good with them and watch change

The Waiting

The Waiting can be stressful but it can also bring so much joy and peace. Wait for the creation, wait for the laughter, wait for the small little legs to catch up to you. When you chose to slow down and wait, there is happiness in that.

Finding Joy in the Simple

Finding Joy in the Simple. Staying in bed a little longer on a Saturday, listening to the laughter of kids playing, knowing that the work that is before you is not what rules your life as long as you are constantly looking to the finish line and Christ.

The Laughter

The Laughter coming from my kids is amazing. I love the times when they just let go and have fun. It is a balm for the soul and a jump start to a day. Laughter reminds you to chill out every once in a while, what a great thing!

Finally Back!

Finally Back! It’s been a long four weeks of working late, sleeping less and worrying more. The parts that are missing? Praying more, having conversations with Jesus and trusting that His will will be done.

How Do They Know?

How Do They Know? It is a great thing when you have people who know you and can tell when you are off. It’s as if God knew that you needed the people you have and they need you too

The Act of Figuring it Out

The Act of Figuring it Out. I won’t say I am even close to figuring anything out but I am trying my best. There are times in which I wish I didn’t have so many different personalities around me but then I realized I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Working, gentle Hands

Working, gentle Hands. The power of touch is a wonderful thing. Working with our hands, helping others is what keeps us going as a community. A hug, a gentle touch, a firm handshake all help us to feel connection with one another.

Holding My Breath

Holding My Breath, it always seems to happen when I am doing a difficult tasks or watching someone else do something hard. Breathing is necessary but so is change and growth and pushing yourself beyond your comfort levels
