Storms Brewing

Storms come and go. We look for them, we read about them, and we use what they give us for our benefit. The same can be said for the storms in our lives. Christ is with us in these storms, we just have to chose to use what He gives, to help us endure.

Simple

The New Year is here, why not try for the simple. Love your neighbor as yourself. Enjoy simple. We love to complicate the simple but it’s better to simplify the complicated. You need rest, then rest. You need love, then give love.

I’ll Be Back In a Little While

Take a walk, ride a bike, do a workout routine, read a book, write a book. What is it that makes you feel alive? When we take the time to say “I’ll be back in a little while” and we proceed to do something beneficial for our wellbeing it’s worth it.

Control, is there really such a thing?

Control, is there really such a thing? As much as we try and have it, change happens. So how do you deal with it? Give it all over to God, He is the only one that can give you the strength and peace to move forward.

Finding Joy in the Simple

Finding Joy in the Simple. Staying in bed a little longer on a Saturday, listening to the laughter of kids playing, knowing that the work that is before you is not what rules your life as long as you are constantly looking to the finish line and Christ.

The Laughter

The Laughter coming from my kids is amazing. I love the times when they just let go and have fun. It is a balm for the soul and a jump start to a day. Laughter reminds you to chill out every once in a while, what a great thing!

Mud Bath Anyone?

Mud Bath Anyone? Sometimes you do things that are fun, sometimes you do things that get you out of your comfort zone so that you draw our kids out to do them with you. Family time is important, and when it can be fun and messy, why not?

Finally Back!

Finally Back! It’s been a long four weeks of working late, sleeping less and worrying more. The parts that are missing? Praying more, having conversations with Jesus and trusting that His will will be done.

Joy Comes

Joy Comes even when you feel like you have lost it. The world, life, family, work, negative words can all steal joy, but only for a little bit. Joy comes in the moments, in the self worth, in the knowledge of who you are in Christ

Girls Day Out

Girls Day Out. It opens up the world of my kids. Its a way to see my kid’s world though their eyes. These days won’t always be there, so I am going to enjoy them while I can.
